Lamborghini CEO may leave for Audi

New reports indicate that the CEO at Lamborghini will leave the brand in order to work for Audi’s Quattro division.

Stephan Winkelmann has been ruling the brand for the past decade during VW ownership. Before that he worked with Fiat in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Some Italian reports insist that Stefano Domenicali will take the chair of Winkelmann. Domenicali was the main in the Ferrari’s Formula One team for 7 years. This was from 2007 till 2014. Now he works at the VW Group, having joined Audi in October of the last year.

In case Winkelmann will leave Lamborghini and start working at Audi’s Quattro division, it will mean a return to relatively mainstream goods for the present CEO. Quattro GmbH division at Audi produces some products of the luxury range for nowadays’ market, intended for the customers who want more performance.
