Expect Ford Sync 3 This Summer in 2016 Escape and Fiesta

Ford will start selling its latest Sync 3 infotainment system in 2015.

The improved electronics will be possible to obtain in the 2016 Fiesta and Escape since this summer. Ford has equipped Sync 3 with innovated software and hardware. The automaker intends to leave bad reputation of its infotainment units behind. Bad comments evolved from MyFord Touch, the producer’s previous system. It was constantly mocked for being glitch-ridden and slow.

The company assures that Sync 3 is improved for hands free usage. This becomes possible thankfully to voice commands. The commands can be used for controlling a lot of the vehicle’s functions along with the ones which are present in a compatible smartphone. Applink gives a chance for the drivers to access the smartphone applications, such as, iHeart Auto, Glympse and Pandora with the help of Sync 3’s touchscreen or voice commands. Siri eyes-free can also be used by Apple iPhone owners while pressing and holding down the push-to-talk knob in the car.

Owners of Sync 3 will receive subscription-free emergency 911 Assist. If a serious accident occurs, the service will use the connected to Bluetooth phone of the customer and dial 911. The vehicle is also able to send information about deploying of the airbags, the number of used seat belts and which side is hurt by the crash.

Sync 3 also provides over-the-air innovations via Wi-Fi. This means that the automaker can update the infotainment system without taking the vehicle to a dealership.
