3.5 Million Cruzes were sold by Chevy around the Globe

The bow-tie company has sold more than 3.5 million copies of its Cruze compact vehicle around the globe. This name-plate was admitted to become the best-selling unit globally.

Think only, more than 1 million of the clients come from the U.S. The vehicle is sold in 115 different countries. The vehicle is also popular in such countries as Brazil, China and Canada.

The Chevrolet Cruze is very popular with young motorists. If to speak about the United States, it is the second-best offering in the segment to customers under the age of 25. Moreover, 35% of those clients are new to the company. More than 273,000 units were sold in America in 2014.

The automaker is at the turn of presenting an innovated Cruze. The vehicle will be officially introduced in Downtown Detroit on June 24. It will probably be launched for sale as a 2016 model in the next year. This is the fifth of five innovated Chevys. All of them are introduced in 2015. The vehicle has similar characteristics as an innovated Malibu sedan, the restyled Volt extended range electric, the Spark mini car and the hot 2016 Camaro.

The president of GM North America and worldwide Chevrolet brand director revealed that 95% of Chevy’s vehicle range will be younger than two years old by the beginning of 2016. He considers this fact to be a significant turnover of the company’s portfolio.

The president admitted that they do not want to follow, but to lead. The automaker promises that their next-gen Cruze will be the idol of the public. According to the producer, the vehicle will be a little bit larger than the current variant. At the same time, it will be lighter and will have more technological advances. This will be possible thankfully to cutting-edge features, such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The chief also noticed that the vehicle will be equipped with an innovated 1.4-litre turbocharged engine.
