Volkswagen Passat Alltrack Presents its New Body Rendering

Passat B8 from Volkswagen has been presented in the Alltrack appearance with the help of X-Tomi Design.

The automaker has proved that they started work on a Passat Alltrack. The offering will be launched in two years, precisely together with sleeker CC. A Hungarian artist decided to draw in his imagination the rugged wagon. It is known that the model has enhanced its ride height. It will have plastic body cladding circling the wheel arches along with side skirts. The model will gain aluminum protection of the underbody.

The offering will cost a little more than its base, the Passat Variant. The vehicle will be offered with regular 4MOTION four-wheel drive. It looks like the automaker will offer the Alltrack derivative with the 1.8-littre TSI engine producing 180 hp (or 132 kW), just like the larger 2.0-littre TSI engine developing 220 hp (or 162 kW) and 280 hp (or 206 kW). A 2.0-littre TDI powertrain will come along with them. In the standard Passat it is possible to obtain it in three tune states. 150 hp (or 110 kW) is the first one, 190 hp (or 140 kW) is the second one and 240 hp (or 176 kW) is the third one.

The model will arrive in 2016. The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack will become a perfect choice to the customers who are not very excited from crossovers and SUV. Therefore, it will definitely be a niche offering.
