S3 Plus from Audi Might Get 375 hp
Rumour has it that Audi is about to present its S3 Plus which allegedly boasts a turbocharged engine for 2.0 litres producing 375 hp and torque of 369 lb-ft.
AMG engineers were asked for a favour by the German carmaker: Volkswagen needs its turbocharged 2.0-litre V4 to gain more power, and the company expects to see the result resembling that of CLA and GLA 45 vehicles which also operate on four cylinders. The brand decided to apply the power boost to S3 Plus model first, an intermediate link between S3 standard and RS3.
If the experiment with S3 Plus turns out to be successful, next versions of RS3 will achieve even more than 375 hp. Apart from S3 Plus, other models to be upgraded include Golf R Evo and Volkswagen Scirocco.
