Redesigning Volkswagen Models Every Five Years

More frequent Volkswagen models’ updating is expected in the United States.

One of the reports in Edmunds states that Volkswagen is going to update its major models selling in the United States. The Jetta and Passat are going to start the list of updated cars. Marc Trahan who is a vice president for service and quality at Volkswagen Group of America assures that the German company plans to preserve attractiveness and freshness in its models. He states that American dealerships consider some competitors of Volkswagen to succeed in renewal the cars more than Volkswagen.

The German company changes the design of its cars once in seven years at present, and wants to focus on a five-year period which corresponds to Japanese automobile production. Volkswagen plans to change the design of the Jetta in three years and the Passat will be redesigned in four years.
