Next Year to Welcome A8 e-tron from Audi

Soon we will see a modern hybrid modification of Audi’s most popular saloon.

Particularly, the plans of the German company extend to combining diesel six-cylinder propulsion with the displacement of 3.0 litres and a hybrid scheme of e-tron. Expected output of this creative duet is 368 hp and torque of 516 lb-ft. The model is to appear at the beginning of 2015.

Initially only A8 was meant to get a plug-in counterpart, but now A6 and Q7 SUV are likely candidates for propulsion change. At the moment it is known that the electric motor solely will provide approximately 30 miles of continued run. Fuel consumption is undisclosed yet, but representative of Research and Development department claims that each kilometre will be liable for 100 grams of carbon dioxide.
