New York Auto Show Welcomes Next Volkswagen Jetta

The debut of 2015 VW Jetta has been finally conducted leaving a lot of auto journalists and New York public obviously unimpressed.

Expectations seem to have been greater with the release of what turned out to be a slightly modified Passat. Next year’s Jetta features a revised front including grille and redesigned boot with a spoiler. A range of options can be chosen for the lighting solutions assuming a technological upgrade.

Cab also features a couple of alternations. They include addition of functional steering wheel, new leather kind and chrome insertions as well as new design of controls of air vents accompanied by black dashboard finish.

Substantially more cheer is traced in safety innovations. In this regard the revised Jetta has obtained a cross-traffic monitor for the back and collision-prevention system in the front equipped with both video and audio warning mechanism.

American selection offers only one new engine – TDI propulsion with the displacement of 2.0 litres developing 150 bhp. Manual gearbox allows this powertrain to spend 32 mpg within the rural limits, 45 mpg outside the city and 37 mpg in a combined cycle.
