Kansas Site Chosen for Ford Transit

Ford is facing a new stage of development actively engaging its Kansas site.

Assembly lines are ready for the commercial release of Ford promising to eventually phase off E-Series offering. The brand allocated $1.1 billion to propel Transit manufacturing and created a couple of thousands job sites at Kansas plant.

Customers in over a hundred countries including the domestic ones will have a wide array to choose from. Both van and wagon modifications will be available in several length, wheelbase and roof level variants. Apart from that, various form offerings will be included alongside two trims.

Standard option on the Transit implies a six-cylinder petrol engine with the displacement of 3.7 litres, but buyers can also be interested in two smaller diesel-powered ones, all rear-wheel drive and working in pair with an automatic gearbox for six speeds.

Until the end of the year manufacturing of E-Series will be conducted simultaneously with Transit construction.
