EV from Chevrolet to Last 200 Miles
Soon another EV from the American company will appear at the market.
In approximately 2 years Chevrolet will allegedly offer a vehicle fully relying on the electric engine. It will bear the name Sonic and, as well as the cartoon character, be rather fast and have great endurance – that of 200 miles on charge. Battery supplier is likely to stay the same – LG Chem, which is also contracted for Volt.
If everything goes according to the plan, Sonic will become the first all-American electric vehicle by General Motors. It outgoing counterpart called Spark uses the Korean assembly lines, which, understandably, is not properly credited. This model demands more than $26,000 and lasts 2.5 times less than the planned Sonic.
