Chinese Customers to See Long-Wheelbase Cadillac ATS

The long-wheelbase modification of Cadillac’s sedan will be named ATS-L and sold exclusively in China.

The new wheelbase is going to be approximately four inches longer and the American company has announced that only Chinese buyers will have the privilege of access to it. The new vehicle is going to face competition from long-wheelbase models of Mercedes and BMW, but the brand decided to get an advantage by making more engine choices available.

Currently only one ATS option can be bought in China – turbocharged engine for 2.0 litres; ATS-L range, however, will include all the engines of ATS lineup. The latter offers options for 2.5 as well as 3.6 litres and six cylinders. Production start of ATS-L is planned for summer 2014. The prices have not been announced yet, but they are sure to be set reasonable regarding competition in the segment.
