Smart ForTwo Rated the Most Awkward Vehicle
According to a fresh survey of 1,500 licensed customers, the Smart ForTwo is the most embarrassing vehicle, averaging a “cringe score” of 7.6.
The survey, provided by Carsbase, presented a gallery of 12 cars to 1,500 customers and asked which one was the most awkward to be seen in.
The Nissan Cube came in as the 2nd most awkward vehicle to be seen in, and the Hummer H2 in 3rd. But the contest wasn’t even close, with 497 votes going to the Smart ForTwo as the number-1 most awkward vehicle. Why do people think like that? The most-cited reason was the vehicle being tiny, and the top write-in reason was for it being not safe. For comparison’s sake, the Nissan Cube had a score of 3.6, less than half of the ForTwo.
Other notable findings from the survey feature the fact that purple is the most cringe-worthy color for a car and that an inexpensive compact is the most awkward category of car to be seen driving. Minivans were 2nd while eco-friendly hybrids were 3rd. What about the most awkward accessory found on a car? The winner is headlight eyelashes, taking 34 % of the votes.
Just imagine how disgusting would a purple Smart ForTwo with headlight eyelashes be on the road?
