Ducati-Powered VW XL1 Might be Limited

VW has informed that a Ducati-powered XL1 is being developed and the sports model could get green a light for limited production.

A 1.2-liter, 2-cylinder gasoline motor from Ducati is being equipped under the hood of the XL1, with the model likely being named the XLR. It will provide about 188 hp at an impressive 10,760 rpm while 92 lb-ft of torque will be available at 9,000 rpm.

It’s being rumored that the VW XLR will be officially uncovered at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the same place where the XL1 made its debut earlier this year.
