Detroit to Host New GMC Canyon 2015

Next year GMC will introduce its 2015 Canyon in Detroit.

The new model will borrow a lot from Chevrolet Colorado, which was unveiled in Los Angeles and became a basis for many cars of the line. Nevertheless, distinctions are sure to be visible. For 2015 Canyon, they will mostly be based on overall and inside design of the car.

Power characteristics will linger in the new model. Two solutions will be available at once: a smaller four-cylinder engine with 2.5-litre capacity amounting to 193 hp and a capacious 3.6-litre engine with six cylinders and 302 hp. The third solution will be released some time after the main launch, and it will feature a turbo-diesel car with 2.8-litre capacity. Base case variant will enable the drivers to use V4 with manual gearbox for six speeds; the others might be interested in six-speed automatic transmission in the other two cars.
