The third-generation Volvo V70 launched at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, utilizing the Ford EUCD / Volvo P3 platform shared with the S80 II. Produced as a 5-door wagon, it emphasized rear passenger legroom and flexible cargo features including dual-stage integrated child booster seats.
Engine options ranged from 1.6/2.0 four-cylinders to 3.2 and 3.0 T6 inline-sixes, along with D2 through D5 turbodiesels. FlexiFuel, Bi-Fuel, and DRIVe/Drive-E models were offered. A major 2013 facelift introduced a modernized chrome grille, digital instrument display, and enhanced safety systems.
