Volkswagen Santana II (A05) gallery (2012–2022)

The second-generation Volkswagen Santana subcompact sedan with body code A05 was revealed in October 2012. Developed specifically for the Chinese domestic market, the new Santana shifted to a compact footprint using Volkswagen's PQ25 architecture. In addition to the conventional four-door sedan, a five-door hatchback derivative badged Gran Santana was also produced.

Power was supplied by EA211 naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines including 1.4-liter, 1.6-liter, and later 1.5-liter units. Transmission pairings consisted of five-speed manuals and six-speed Tiptronic automatics. The A05 generation delivered enhanced fuel economy, modern emissions compliance, and standard safety equipment.
