VAZ Azimut I gallery (2026–present)
The first generation of the Lada Azimut compact crossover, prepared for serial mass production at the AvtoVAZ manufacturing facilities.
The first generation Lada Azimut marks AvtoVAZ's entry into the modern compact crossover segment with an in-house engineered architecture. The vehicle features a five-door unibody SUV body structure incorporating nearly one thousand newly engineered and refined components. The chassis layout utilizes MacPherson struts at the front axle and a torsion beam setup at the rear, tuned specifically for handling stability and ride comfort on uneven road surfaces.
The powertrain lineup for the first-generation Azimut consists of 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engines producing between 106 and 122 horsepower. These engines are paired with either a manual gearbox or an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT). Prior to mass production, prototypes completed more than 1.5 million kilometers of extreme temperature and road testing, alongside over 30,000 hours of bench durability tests for engines and gearboxes.
