The third generation, branded as Zafira Tourer, brought dramatic boomerang-style lighting graphics and an upscale Lounge Seating interior.
Debuting in late 2011 as the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, the third generation moved upmarket on the GM Delta II platform, utilizing front suspension components derived from the Insignia and a Watt's linkage rear setup from the Astra J. Visually distinguished by its bold boomerang-shaped integrated headlight and fog light housings, the MPV featured an evolved Flex7 system with three individual sliding, folding, and reclining second-row seats that could convert into an executive Lounge Seating arrangement. Engine choices comprised 1.4-litre Turbo petrol engines (120 hp and 140 hp), a 1.6-litre SIDI direct-injection Turbo with up to 200 hp, and an extensive diesel lineup featuring 2.0-litre CDTI units (including a 195 hp BiTurbo) and the refined 1.6-litre Whisper Diesel. Both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes were offered. In 2016, a comprehensive facelift dropped the Tourer suffix, replaced the boomerang front fascia with a classic chrome grille, and integrated a revised dashboard with the IntelliLink touchscreen infotainment system.
