Vauxhall Tigra II (B) gallery (2004–2009)

The second generation, officially known as the Tigra TwinTop, was produced from 2004 to 2009 and built by the French coachbuilder Heuliez. Transforming from the original 2+2 coupe into a dedicated two-seater roadster, it incorporated an electro-hydraulic folding steel roof that retracted in just 18 seconds. Based on the GM Gamma architecture shared with the Corsa C, the vehicle featured front-wheel drive and a rigid reinforced body structure. The engine range consisted of 1.4-litre (90 hp) and 1.8-litre (125 hp) Twinport Ecotec petrol units, alongside an efficient 1.3-litre CDTI common-rail turbodiesel producing 70 hp developed jointly with Fiat. Gearbox options included a standard five-speed manual and an optional Easytronic automated manual for the 1.4-litre engine. The model was retailed in the UK as a Vauxhall, in mainland Europe as an Opel, and in Australia as a Holden, with production ceasing in 2009 without a successor.
