Vauxhall Mokka I (A) gallery (2012–2019)

The first-generation Vauxhall Mokka made its debut in 2012 as a subcompact crossover built on the General Motors Gamma II platform, sharing its technical foundation with the Opel Mokka and Chevrolet Trax. It was offered exclusively as a five-door SUV with practical packaging and an elevated driving position. The powertrain lineup featured naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engines, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol units, and efficient turbo-diesels, initially a 1.7 CDTI and later replaced by the refined 1.6 CDTI Whisper Diesel engine. Gearbox options comprised five-speed and six-speed manuals as well as a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive was standard, with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system available on higher trims. In 2016, the vehicle received a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh and was renamed the Vauxhall Mokka X, introducing sharper exterior styling with LED headlights, a completely redesigned dashboard with an integrated IntelliLink touchscreen infotainment system, and upgraded safety tech for the UK market.
