Vauxhall Insignia II (B) gallery (2017–2022)

The second-generation Vauxhall Insignia arrived with a lighter architecture, larger dimensions, and refined dynamic capability.

Launched in 2017, the second-generation Vauxhall Insignia (B) was engineered on General Motors' modern E2XX platform, shedding up to 175 kg while offering significantly improved passenger space and interior technology. The body lineup was simplified to the Grand Sport five-door fastback liftback and the Sports Tourer estate, alongside the high-riding Country Tourer variant. Engine options originally included 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines alongside 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre CDTi/Turbo D diesel powerplants, mated to six-speed manual, six-speed automatic, or advanced eight-speed and nine-speed automatic transmissions. High-end all-wheel-drive configurations incorporated a sophisticated GKN Twinster torque-vectoring rear-drive module. The performance-focused GSi variant returned with bespoke styling, Brembo brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. In 2020, a mid-life update added sharper LED styling, upgraded active safety assists, and streamlined powertrains before production ceased in 2022.
