The Toyota Raize subcompact crossover (A200 series) launched in Japan in November 2019. Manufactured by Daihatsu on the DNGA (Daihatsu New Global Architecture) platform (twin-badged as the Daihatsu Rocky), the vehicle packs authentic SUV styling into a sub-4-meter length (3,995 mm). The exterior features a prominent trapezoidal lower grille, sharp LED projector headlamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin delivers a class-leading 369-liter cargo capacity, an adaptable 7-inch digital instrument display, and a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with smartphone integration.

Initial powertrains featured a 1.0-liter 1KR-VET turbocharged three-cylinder engine delivering 98 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque, paired with Daihatsu's D-CVT transmission. Export markets also receive a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter WA-VE engine (88 hp). In 2021, the Raize e-Smart Hybrid debuted, employing a series hybrid system where a 1.2-liter engine acts solely as a generator to drive a 106-hp electric motor. Available in FWD and Dynamic Torque Control 4WD, the model includes the Smart Assist active safety suite.
