Suzuki Santana I gallery (1985–2006)

The Suzuki Santana line comprised compact body-on-frame off-roaders manufactured under license by Santana Motor S.A. in Linares, Spain, from 1985 to 2006. Initially building European-market versions of the Suzuki SJ410, SJ413, and Samurai, Santana adapted the heavy-duty ladder-frame architecture with solid live axles and part-time 4WD to include localized components and diesel engines unavailable in Japan.

Powertrains included 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter gasoline engines alongside Peugeot-supplied 1.9-liter naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines (64 to 90 hp). In 2003, Santana introduced a localized re-skin called the Santana 300 (3-door) and Santana 350 (5-door), featuring restyled headlights, revised bumpers, and updated interior dashboards before production ended in 2006.
