Unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and launching globally for 2016, the second-generation Suzuki Ignis (MF series, FF21S chassis) redefined the micro-crossover segment. Built on the ultra-lightweight HEARTECT platform, the 3.7-meter-long vehicle infused retro design heritage, including side C-pillar slots referencing the Fronte Coupe, Cervo-inspired headlights, and 180 mm of ground clearance. Inside, the cabin offers a minimalist dashboard with a tablet-style central infotainment system.

Power comes from a 1.2-liter Dualjet K12C/K12D four-cylinder engine producing 90 hp (83 hp in later Euro 6d configurations). Powertrain options feature Suzuki's SHVS mild-hybrid system paired with either a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. Buyers can opt for AllGrip Auto viscous-coupling four-wheel drive with Hill Descent Control. A 2020 facelift refreshed front and rear bumpers with SUV-style skid plates and updated the mild-hybrid battery capacity.
