Skoda Favorit I (781) gallery (1987–1995)
A revolutionary front-wheel-drive hatchback for the brand, with design by Bertone.
The Favorit marked a turning point for Skoda, shifting from rear-engine to front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. Bertone's design made the car modern and competitive against Western peers. It was powered by an in-house 1.3-liter engine. This model provided the foundation upon which Skoda successfully integrated into the Volkswagen Group in 1991.
