The first generation of the full-size Pontiac Parisienne became a separate model in the brand's Canadian lineup based on General Motors architecture. The car was equipped with powerful V8 engines and offered with manual and automatic transmissions. The body design featured distinctive halo-effect elements and advanced styling for its time. Compared to previous versions of the Laurentian line, the model received an expanded list of equipment and improved interior trim. The main sales market was Canada, along with several other British Commonwealth countries, offering premium styling at a competitive price point.
