The Oshan Z6 debuted in mid-2022 as a high-tech compact crossover designed to showcase Oshan's latest digital innovations. Constructed on Changan's MPA platform, the Z6 features sharp exterior creases, a parameteric frameless grille, and narrow LED headlights across a 4699 mm overall length. Gasoline engines include 1.5-liter (188 hp) and 2.0-liter (233 hp) Blue Whale turbocharged units, while the plug-in hybrid Z6 iDD version pairs a 1.5-liter engine with an electric motor and a 28.4 kWh battery for 150 km of electric range. The interior boasts a triple-screen dashboard configuration and external voice controls allowing users to interact with the vehicle from outside. Following brand restructuring in 2024, the model was incorporated into Changan's core product lineup as the Changan UNI-Z. The Oshan vehicle portfolio served as a dynamic passenger vehicle arm for Changan Automobile, specifically engineered to cater to modern family needs and younger drivers. The Z6 model was developed with an emphasis on occupant comfort, structural durability, and the proven efficiency of Blue Whale powertrain components.
