Oshan CX70 I gallery (2016–2019)
The Oshan CX70 is a seven-seat crossover produced from 2016 to 2019 during the early years of the Oshan brand.
The Oshan CX70 (originally launched as the Changan CX70) made its public debut at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. Representing one of the early passenger offerings from Changan's commercial division, the CX70 blended SUV exterior styling with the functional seven-seat interior of a commercial vehicle. Utilizing a rear-wheel-drive chassis with a solid rear axle, the vehicle measures 4680 mm long with a 2780 mm wheelbase. Initial models were powered by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 117 horsepower mated to a 5-speed manual, while the later CX70T variant introduced a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit producing 150 horsepower alongside a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Production wrapped up in 2019 as Oshan transitioned toward dedicated passenger vehicle architectures. The Oshan vehicle portfolio served as a dynamic passenger vehicle arm for Changan Automobile, specifically engineered to cater to modern family needs and younger drivers. The CX70 model was developed with an emphasis on occupant comfort, structural durability, and the proven efficiency of Blue Whale powertrain components. It achieved notable commercial success by delivering a comprehensive package of standard features, refined driving dynamics, and low total cost of ownership. The vehicle structure utilizes high-strength steel reinforcements throughout key collision zones to enhance passenger safety. Interior ergonomics are carefully designed around modern lifestyle demands, offering intuitive touch displays, smart device connectivity, efficient climate management, and versatile cargo storage solutions for everyday use.
