The Oshan COS1° is a mid-size flagship crossover manufactured between 2018 and 2021 under the COS product line.
The Oshan COS1° (also marketed as the Oshan Kesai in China) launched in 2018 as the premier model for Oshan's upscale COS series. Styled by Changan's European design center in Turin led by Bertrand Bach, the vehicle featured a distinctive star-matrix front grille and clean profile lines across its 4830 mm body length. Built on a unibody front-wheel-drive platform with a 2800 mm wheelbase, it was offered in 5-seat, 6-seat, and 7-seat seating configurations. Engine options comprised a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine making 178 horsepower paired with a 6-speed Aisin automatic, followed by a range-topping 2.0-liter turbo engine delivering 233 horsepower with an 8-speed automatic. Equipment highlights included adaptive cruise control and a digital cockpit before production concluded in 2021. The Oshan vehicle portfolio served as a dynamic passenger vehicle arm for Changan Automobile, specifically engineered to cater to modern family needs and younger drivers. The COS1° model was developed with an emphasis on occupant comfort, structural durability, and the proven efficiency of Blue Whale powertrain components. It achieved notable commercial success by delivering a comprehensive package of standard features, refined driving dynamics, and low total cost of ownership. The vehicle structure utilizes high-strength steel reinforcements throughout key collision zones to enhance passenger safety. Interior ergonomics are carefully designed around modern lifestyle demands, offering intuitive touch displays, smart device connectivity, efficient climate management, and versatile cargo storage solutions for everyday use.
