Mercedes-Benz CLK II (C209) gallery (2002–2010)

The second generation of the CLK-Class (C209 coupe and A209 cabriolet) was manufactured from 2002 to 2010. Mechanically derived from the C-Class W203, the C209 coupe featured a true pillarless hardtop architecture with fully retractable side windows. Dimensions grew in width and length, providing improved rear legroom and refined ride comfort over its predecessor.

Engines encompassed 1.8-liter supercharged four-cylinders, 2.6L, 3.2L, and 3.5L V6 engines, and a 5.0-liter V8 in the CLK 500. Diesel engines entered the CLK line for the first time with 2.7L inline-five and 3.0L V6 CDI options. AMG models evolved from the CLK 55 AMG (367 hp) to the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 CLK 63 AMG (481 hp). Special performance editions included the supercharged CLK DTM AMG (582 hp) and the widebody CLK 63 AMG Black Series (507 hp). The model line was succeeded in 2009 by the E-Class Coupe (C207).
