Maserati GranCabrio I (M145) photos

Introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and released for the 2010 model year, the first-generation Maserati GranCabrio (marketed in North America as the GranTurismo Convertible, platform code M145) transformed the flagship grand tourer into an open-air cruiser. It featured an aerodynamically optimized three-layer canvas soft top engineered to fold in 28 seconds without compromising the genuine four-seat interior layout. Structural reinforcements were integrated into the chassis to maintain torsional rigidity and handling precision. Under the hood, the GranCabrio was powered exclusively by the Ferrari-built 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 producing 440 hp in the standard version, rising to 450 hp and 460 hp in the Sport and aerodynamically honed MC specifications, mated to a 6-speed ZF automatic gearbox and the adaptive Skyhook damping system. In 2017, the GranCabrio underwent a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh with restyled front fascia inspired by the Alfieri concept and an upgraded multimedia infotainment unit before retiring in 2019.
