The third-generation Lexus GX (J250) launched for 2024 with bold boxy styling, GA-F platform, twin-turbo V6, and off-road Overtrail grade.

The third-generation Lexus GX luxury SUV (chassis code J250) debuted in June 2023 for the 2024 model year. Redesigned with a rugged, boxy aesthetic featuring upright A-pillars and a squared-off shoulder line, it transitioned to the GA-F body-on-frame platform shared with Land Cruiser 250 and LX 600. Lexus introduced the specialized Overtrail trim, equipping 33-inch all-terrain tires, Electronic-Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS), and a locking rear differential.

Power comes from a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission and full-time 4WD. A 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid (GX 550h) generating 326 total horsepower joined later. The cabin features a 14-inch touchscreen display, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.
