The third-generation Kia Sorento (UM) premiered in South Korea in August 2014. Built on an upgraded chassis with a 80 mm longer wheelbase (2,780 mm) and an overall length of 4,780 mm, it achieved a 14% increase in torsional rigidity through 53% advanced high-strength steel utilization. The exterior featured a prominent 3D-pattern Tiger Nose grille, swept-back headlights, and muscular side sculpting. This generation of the Sorento (UM) was produced from 2014 to 2020 and offered in внедорожник body styles. The Dynamax AWD system developed with Magna provided torque distribution control. A 2017 facelift added an 8-speed automatic transmission, triple-lens LED headlights, a redesigned steering wheel, and a GT-Line specification.
