About this generation

The second generation of the global Kia K4 sedan and hatchback, replacing the Forte and Cerato globally. The model combines proven engineering reliability, refined ergonomics, and great comfort.

The second-generation Kia K4 (CL4) premiered at the 2024 New York International Auto Show as the global replacement for the Forte/Cerato. Styled under Opposites United, it features hidden rear door handles, vertical Star Map LEDs, and a fastback silhouette in 4-door sedan (4,709 mm long) and 5-door hatchback forms with a 2,720 mm wheelbase. This generation of the K4 (CL4) was in production since 2024 and offered in седан, хэтчбек body styles. Built on an engineered platform, it features strong structural rigidity, refined aerodynamics, and advanced occupant safety engineering. The generous wheelbase and clever interior packaging ensure superior passenger accommodation and ergonomic comfort for long travel.

Powertrains comprise a 2.0L Atkinson petrol (147 hp) with an IVT gearbox and a 1.6L T-GDI turbo (190 hp) paired with an 8-speed automatic, alongside a nearly 30-inch combined digital screen layout. The powertrain lineup features modern engines optimized for thermal efficiency, balancing responsive acceleration with economical fuel consumption. Power is delivered through reliable manual or automatic transmissions. Mid-cycle updates introduced modernized LED lighting graphics, premium cabin materials, and enhanced active driver assistance suites.
