The second generation of the Isuzu MU-X frame-based SUV, debuted in 2021, is built on the modern Isuzu D-Max pickup platform. Retaining a spacious seven-seat layout, the vehicle features an all-new aerodynamic body design and a heavily revised, tech-focused interior. Power is provided by an upgraded 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine producing 140 kW and 450 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a robust four-wheel-drive system. Compared to the first generation, it delivers significantly higher refinement, better sound insulation, revised suspension geometry, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The vehicle undergoes continuous minor updates regarding trim levels and electronics. Key global markets include Australia, Thailand, Southeast Asia, and South Africa.
