Isuzu Giga I gallery (1994–2015)
The first generation of Isuzu Giga heavy-duty trucks succeeded the 810 series and was produced with various cab and chassis configurations.
The first generation of Isuzu Giga heavy-duty commercial vehicles entered production in 1994, replacing the brand's veteran Isuzu 810 truck. The heavy truck was offered as a chassis cab for various equipment, dump trucks, and tractor units with a wide variety of wheel configurations ranging from 4x2 to 8x4. The vehicle was equipped with powerful large-displacement diesel engines meeting environmental standards of their time and reliable manual or automatic transmissions. Over its long lifecycle, the model underwent several major facelifts in 2007 and 2010, during which the front-end design, radiator grille shape, lighting equipment, and bumpers were significantly revised. The truck's interior was repeatedly modernized to enhance driver comfort during long-haul trips, with improvements to workplace ergonomics and noise insulation. The primary markets were countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and Russia, where the vehicle established a strong reputation as an extremely durable and reliable commercial transport. Production of the first generation continued until 2015, after which it made way for an entirely new generation.
