The second-generation Hyundai Creta (SU2 chassis) launched in 2019. Featuring a 20 mm longer wheelbase and bold Sensuous Sportiness split headlights, the SU2 offered digital gauge clusters and drive mode selectors.
Powertrains feature 1.5L Smartstream, 1.6L Gamma, 2.0L Nu, 1.5L T-GDI (160 hp), and 1.5L CRDi diesel engines paired with 6-speed manuals, IVTs, or 7-speed DCTs. A major 2024 facelift introduced a Palisade-inspired square front clip.

Astana Motors and Hyundai Motor Company have signed an agreement to localize production of the fifth-generation Hyundai Tucson at the plant in Almaty. Complete knockdown assembly including welding and body painting is scheduled to start in December 2027.
