Hyundai Accent I (X3) gallery (1994–1999)

The first-generation Hyundai Accent (X3 chassis) was introduced in 1994 as the successor to the Hyundai Excel. It represented a major landmark for Hyundai Motor Company as its first subcompact vehicle engineered completely in-house on a proprietary platform. The X3 family was offered in four-door sedan, three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback, and two-door coupe body configurations.

Powertrains featured Hyundai's home-grown Alpha engine series, including 1.3-liter 12-valve and 1.5-liter 12-valve/16-valve DOHC four-cylinder units producing up to 105 horsepower. Transmissions included a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic. A mid-cycle update in 1997 introduced refreshed front bumper moldings, revised headlamps, and updated interior dashboard trim.
