The fourth-generation Hyundai Accent (RB platform) made its world debut at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in 2010. Embodying Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture design theme, the RB featured sharp character creases, L-shaped fog light housings, and a sleek roof silhouette. Offered as a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback, it was marketed regionally as the Solaris in Russia and Verna in China.

Powertrains featured Gamma family 1.4-liter (107 hp) and 1.6-liter (123 hp) CVVT gasoline engines. Initial five-speed manual and four-speed automatic gearboxes were upgraded during a 2014 mid-cycle facelift to modern six-speed manuals and six-speed automatics, alongside projector headlamps with LED daytime running light strips.
