Facelifted version of the second-generation Hongqi H5 sedan, highlighting a reworked interior layout and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
The facelifted iteration of the second-generation Hongqi H5 executive sedan (chassis code C100) focuses primarily on ergonomic and technological enhancements within the cabin. The vehicle features a comprehensively redesigned dashboard layout, substituting the previous integrated central display with a freestanding touchscreen multimedia monitor. Complementing the revision is an all-new digital instrument cluster, a reorganized center console with redesigned cupholders, reduced physical switchgear, and a column-mounted electronic gear selector lever.
The mechanical architecture remains fundamentally unchanged from the initial release of the second generation. Underpinned by a front-wheel-drive platform with an independent multi-link rear suspension setup, the sedan retains its robust 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 218 hp. Power is transmitted through an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, propelling the car to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and achieving a top speed of 230 km/h.
