Holden Vectra III (ZC) gallery (2003–2006)

The Holden Vectra (ZC series) was released in 2003 as a fully imported version of the European Opel Vectra C, engineered on General Motors' rigid Epsilon architecture. The ZC generation was offered in Australia and New Zealand primarily as a four-door sedan and a distinctively styled five-door GTS hatchback. Engine choices consisted of an updated 2.2-liter direct-injected or port-injected four-cylinder Ecotec motor rated at 108 kW (147 hp), and a potent 3.2-liter naturally aspirated V6 (Z32SE) generating 155 kW (211 hp) for sporty variants, with selective availability of 1.9-liter CDTi turbo-diesel powertrains. Gearboxes were upgraded to include five-speed manual units and five-speed automatic transmissions equipped with ActiveSelect manual mode. The ZC series integrated modern chassis systems like Electronic Stability Program (ESP), electro-hydraulic power steering, and a high-speed CAN-bus electronic architecture. Due to shifting market dynamics and price competition, Holden retired the Vectra line in 2006, replacing it in the mid-size segment with the GM Daewoo-sourced Holden Epica.
