Holden Cruze III (JH) gallery (2011–2016)
The locally built Australian Cruze generation featuring sedan, hatchback, and wagon bodies alongside turbocharged powertrains.
The JH series Holden Cruze commenced local manufacturing at Holden's Elizabeth plant in South Australia in early 2011. While the sedan continued, Holden's Australian design team styled a bespoke five-door hatchback variant that went into production in late 2011, followed by a Korean-imported Sportwagon in 2012. The powertrain lineup was substantially overhauled, featuring a 1.8-litre Ecotec petrol, a 1.4-litre turbocharged iTi petrol engine, an upgraded 120 kW 2.0-litre turbo-diesel, and a performance 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine (132 kW/230 Nm) for the SRi and SRi-V trims. Engineering enhancements included local suspension tuning with a Watt's linkage rear axle on turbocharged models. The JH series underwent notable facelifts in 2013 (Series II) and 2015, introducing revised styling, LED daytime running lamps, and the MyLink touchscreen system. Local Australian assembly of the JH Cruze concluded in October 2016 as Holden prepared for its transition away from domestic manufacturing.
