Haval H7 I gallery (2016–2021)
The first generation Haval H7 mid-size crossover was manufactured from 2016 to 2021 in standard five-seat H7 and extended seven-seat H7L body configurations for family buyers.
Designed under the direction of Pierre Leclercq, the first generation Haval H7 mid-size crossover was built on a unibody platform with front MacPherson struts and a multi-link rear suspension. The model was offered as a standard five-seat H7 and an extended seven-seat H7L variant featuring an additional 200 mm of rear overhang. Power was supplied by a 2.0-litre GW4C20A direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine delivering 231 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque. Transmission duties were fulfilled by a 6-speed or 7-speed dual-clutch automated gearbox paired with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. The upscale interior featured a panoramic glass roof, digital gauge cluster, ventilated massaging seats, three-zone climate control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. Excellent cabin soundproofing and a 10-speaker audio system further elevated long-distance travel comfort. Sales targeted domestic Chinese showrooms alongside exports to Australia and the Middle East.
