The first generation Haval H2 subcompact crossover was manufactured between 2014 and 2021, offering distinct Red Label and Blue Label design variations for diverse buyers.
The initial generation of the Haval H2 subcompact crossover utilized a unibody structure equipped with MacPherson front struts and an independent multi-link rear suspension setup. Under the bonnet was a 1.5-litre GW4G15B turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 150 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. Transmission options included a six-speed manual gearbox, a six-speed automatic provided by Hyundai-Powertech, and later a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Drive was sent either to the front wheels or to all four wheels via an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive coupling. Exterior highlights included optional dual-tone roof color schemes, while the cabin featured soft-touch materials, keyless entry with push-button start, a power sunroof, cruise control, and a central touchscreen multimedia system. The interior atmosphere was further enhanced by ambient lighting, contrast upholstery stitching, and effective acoustic insulation. The model enjoyed strong sales in China, Russia, Australia, South Africa, and South American markets.
