Launched in 2011, the Great Wall Wingle 5 represents the second generation of the Wingle pickup family and remains in active production. Featuring a restyled front fascia with rectangular headlights and a prominent grille, the Wingle 5 adopted a cleaner aesthetic tailored for commercial fleets and private owners. Built on a heavy-duty ladder frame, it utilizes a live rear axle with leaf springs for load-bearing capacity alongside an independent front suspension. Powertrain options feature the 2.0-liter GW4D20 turbodiesel engine producing between 136 and 143 horsepower, a 2.4-liter petrol engine developing 136 horsepower, and a budget 2.2-liter petrol motor. Transmissions include five-speed and six-speed manual gearboxes. Drivetrain options encompass standard rear-wheel drive and a selectable part-time four-wheel-drive system with electronic low-range engagement. Available in standard and long-wheelbase single-cab and double-cab variants, equipment includes air conditioning, power steering, ABS with EBD, heated front seats, and electric side mirrors.
