Great Wall Hover H5 II gallery (2023–present)

The second-generation Haval H5 returned as a full-size body-on-frame utility SUV derived from a pickup truck platform, offering immense interior volume and strong turbocharged engines.

The second generation of the H5 was unveiled in 2023, marking a significant evolution into a full-size utility SUV measuring over five meters in length. Constructed on the heavy-duty ladder-frame architecture shared with the King Kong Cannon pickup truck, the vehicle employs a solid rear axle designed for substantial load carrying and off-road durability. Engine options feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline motor generating 218 horsepower alongside a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine producing 166 horsepower. Power transfer is handled by either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The four-wheel-drive layout utilizes an electronically controlled BorgWarner part-time transfer case paired with an optional Eaton mechanical rear differential lock. The interior emphasizes practical luxury with a digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen, 360-degree cameras, adaptive cruise control, and leatherette seating. Folding the second-row seats creates an expansive cargo hold exceeding two meters in flat length. This generation targets commercial fleets, outdoor enthusiasts, and global export markets requiring maximum space and towing capability.
