The Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 mid-size hybrid sedan is engineered on the GEA platform and achieves exceptional fuel economy using Thor EM-i technology.
The Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 plug-in hybrid sedan, designated under model code P161, commenced production in 2025 as part of the expanding Galaxy lineup. Built upon Geely's Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture platform, it shares structural elements with the fifth-generation Emgrand sedan. The exterior adopts the marque's signature styling, incorporating a vertical waterfall grille, sleek LED lighting units, and an aerodynamically optimized silhouette. The Thor EM-i plug-in hybrid powertrain integrates a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine operating on the Miller cycle with a high-output electric motor. Total combined driving range exceeds 1,400 kilometers while maintaining a rated fuel consumption below 3.0 liters per 100 km. Its lithium iron phosphate battery pack provides an electric-only range between 60 km and 125 km under CLTC standards. Interior equipment centers around a large touchscreen running the Flyme Auto operating environment, complemented by ambient lighting and wireless charging pads. The Starshine 6 targets domestic Chinese buyers alongside selected global export markets.
