Geely Emgrand GS I (FE-7) gallery (2016–2021)

The Geely Emgrand GS compact crossover hatchback was produced between 2016 and 2021, serving as a landmark model that defined Geely's modern design direction. Designed under the guidance of Peter Horbury, the FE-7 chassis paired a raised hatchback body with crossover styling elements including protective body cladding, roof rails, and the signature concentric ripple front grille. Geely offered the vehicle in two distinct appearance packages, the refined Elegant trim and the sporty Sport trim with aggressive bumper styling. Built on the flexible Geely FE platform, the front-wheel-drive crossover was powered by a range of gasoline engines over its production span, including a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine, 1.3-liter and 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinders, and later a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder developed with Volvo. Transmission choices comprised 5-speed and 6-speed manuals, along with 6-speed and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearboxes. In 2018, Geely introduced the all-electric Emgrand GSe, featuring a 120 kW electric motor and a 52 kWh lithium-ion battery delivering an NEDC range of up to 400 kilometers. Interior equipment included an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with smartphone mirroring, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, keyless entry, panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. The model achieved strong sales performance in mainland China and was exported to international markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
