Unveiled in 2011 and developed by Ford Australia, the Ranger T6 consolidated separate regional lines into a global mid-size truck. Built around a high-strength boxed steel ladder chassis, its bold styling offered Single, Super, and Double Cab configurations. It delivered over 1-tonne payload capacity and an impressive 800 mm water-wading depth capability.
Powertrains centered around dependable 2.2-liter and 3.2-liter Duratorq TDCi diesels, later joined by 2.0-liter EcoBlue bi-turbo units. In 2018, Ford debuted the extreme Ranger Raptor featuring reinforced frame rails, long-travel Fox Racing suspension dampers, and widebody styling for high-speed off-road performance.
