The first-generation Ford Figo is a subcompact 5-door hatchback engineered in India based on the Fiesta Mk5, produced from 2010 to 2015.
The first-generation Ford Figo debuted in early 2010. Engineered by Ford India on the Ford B256 platform (derived from the fifth-generation European Fiesta), it was produced at the Chennai assembly plant. The model was praised for its solid build quality, European driving dynamics, and a generous 284-liter boot capacity.
Power was provided by a 1.2-liter Duratec gasoline engine (71 hp) or a frugal 1.4-liter Duratorq TDCi turbodiesel (69 hp), both mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 2012 facelift introduced a redesigned hexagonal front grille and updated lighting. Exported to over 50 countries across Asia and Africa, the Figo was awarded Indian Car of the Year in 2011.
